The Serre Chevalier renewable energy project combines 3 types of energy

Tests conducted on two wind turbine designs during the 2018 season validated an effective solution capable of withstanding extreme high-altitude conditions, and the installation of a new infrastructure has already been completed. Horizontal-axis technology was selected for its efficiency in high-altitude weather conditions. The 10 kW model proved its resistance to winds of up to 130 km/h. Adjustments now allow for optimal operation. In mid-October 2019, SCV-Domaine Skiable installed a second wind turbine on the Col du Prorel, near the first one installed at the end of 2018.
