A first successful installation in hybrid storage of 30 Kw for Polytech Nantes.
Hybrid storage is based on supercapacitors (electrostatic) and lithium titanate. Although more expensive to purchase than conventional Lithium-Ion storage, the total cost of ownership TCO is lower and the advantages are numerous:
- A very long and superior life cycle of up to 20,000 cycles compared to 6,000 for the best Lithium batteries
- Electrical and physical stability without the risk of runaway
- 90% depth of discharge
- A simplified charging algorithm
- A large operating temperature range
This pilot installation is not a laboratory installation, but an industrial installation, coupled with 220 kWp of photovoltaic panels and a 25 kW wind turbine.
The combination of “Victron” systems is perfectly suited to the management of “SUPRO” batteries and allows the optimization of renewable energies on the site
